Executive/Associate Consultant (German speaking) – EU Public Affairs and Communications
We are looking for a German speaking Associate Consultant to join our Brussels team with ideally 2-3 years of experience in EU or German public affairs and/or political communications.

Position
We are looking for a German speaking Executive or Associate Consultant to join our Brussels team.
Profile:
- 2-3 years of experience in EU or German public affairs and/or political communications (either in-house or in a consultancy), the EU institutions, an industry association, a media organisation, or a think-tank is preferred.
- A native German speaker whilst also being fluent in English; have excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge and/or experience working in German public affairs and/or communications is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of EU institutions and decision-making procedures.
- Interested in political issues and have the ability to analyse and translate them into sensible recommendations, scenarios and strategies for clients.
- Strong communications skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of the media.
- Exceptional attention to detail in an often-high-pressure environment.
- You are thorough, conscientious and have a high degree of personal responsibility.
- You have the ability to build personal networks.
- You take a logical, creative and flexible approach to solve problems, with an enthusiastic ‘can-do’ attitude.
This role will involve working on both EU public policy issues and communications briefs for a variety of clients across a range of industries.
Responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring, gathering intelligence and providing analysis of EU policies, political developments and key trends.
- Helping to devise and deliver proactive and reactive engagement strategies and campaigns;
- Preparing research and briefing notes on EU policy, Member State and relevant international issues and developments for clients.
- Supporting with drafting materials including position papers, opinion articles, statements and press releases.
- Responding quickly and accurately to client requests.
- Organising and coordinating set piece events and running campaigns.
- Supporting new business proposals and pitches.
- Ensuring the successful day to day delivery of communications strategies and tactical plans.
- Building a relevant network.
- Supporting the growth of the business through marketing activity
